A rooftop terrace in the old town
The classic Seville sunset: the Giralda and the Cathedral turning gold, then lit up as the sky goes blue. Most rooftops near the Cathedral are hotel bars; arrive early for a spot by the rail.
Watch it from a rooftop near the Cathedral. In Seville the sun sets between about 18:05 in December and 21:48 in late June, and the Giralda glows gold in the last light. The best views are from old-town rooftops, Las Setas, the Triana riverside and Plaza de España.
Sunset moves by more than three and a half hours across the year, and the clocks jump an hour on the last Sunday of March and of October. Here is when the sun goes down, and when our rooftop evening starts.

A ticketed walkway on top of the giant wooden canopy in Plaza de la Encarnación, with views across the rooftops of the whole city.
Free and lively. Walk along the river in Triana for the sun setting over the Guadalquivir, with the Torre del Oro across the water.
The tiled half-circle glows in the late light. Best in the hour before sunset.
Ten people, ninety minutes, your own paella. From early August to mid-April, the sun goes down over the Giralda while you cook, and you eat the paella you made as the lights come on. From mid-April to the end of July the class runs in warm evening light and ends before sunset, leaving time to walk to the river for the last of it.

Sunset in Seville ranges from about 18:05 in early December to about 21:48 at the end of June and start of July (Madrid time). In spring and autumn it falls between roughly 19:15 and 21:15. The clocks change on the last Sunday of March and the last Sunday of October, which moves sunset by an hour overnight.
For the Giralda and the Cathedral at sunset, a rooftop terrace in the old town is hard to beat. Other good spots are the walkway on top of the Metropol Parasol (Las Setas), the riverside at Calle Betis in Triana, the Triana Bridge, and Plaza de España, whose tiles glow in the last light.
Yes. Paella Legacy runs a sunset paella evening on a private rooftop under the Giralda, beside Seville Cathedral: ten people, ninety minutes, and the paella you cook yourself becomes your dinner, with sangria and appetizers included.
